Product Description
A combine harvester blade strip (or cutter bar strip) is a hardened steel base bar equipped with multiple triangular cutting teeth. It forms the core of the headers sickle bar, slicing through crop stalks near the ground. This mechanism enables efficient harvesting of wheat, rice, and other grains.
Key Features & Design
- Dual-Action Cutting: Many modern blade strips feature multiple cutting levels or distinct "M-type" teeth to shear crops from multiple points. This significantly improves cutting efficiency and minimizes grain damage.
- Material & Durability: They are typically manufactured using high-tensile, wear-resistant steel or stainless steel. Some strips are also oil-coated or color-coated to prevent rust.
- Mechanics: Located underneath the header's spinning reel, the blade strip reciprocates (moves rapidly back and forth) to mow the crops.
- Dimensions: Standard strips range broadly in size depending on the combine model, with common agricultural strips measuring around 4 to 6 feet long and 25 to 50 mm thick
